You should be confident paddling on grade 2-3 water and be a confident swimmer.
THE AIM OF THE COURSE:
This course encourages safe white water paddling by teaching simple and effective leadership techniques and river running skills for most white water situations. You will also look at rescue strategies and techniques for situations where a rescue cannot be avoided. This course is now also a pre requisite for the BCU 4 star leaders award.

Included in the price is accommodation and you can also use the centres boats and equipment. Please ask for Canoe specific courses.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING:
You will need to bring with you all your paddling equipment. If you have the following it will be very useful. 3 screw gate krabs, knife, whistle, 3 -4 piece of climbing tape, and any other toys.
WHERE WILL I STAY:
Accomodation is included in the cost. All bedding is provided.
FOOD:
No meals are provided as part of the course but there is a self-catering kitchen in the centre.
COST:
The cost of the course is £125 + VAT.
