TIMES:  
2 day course starting at 9am on day 1.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE COURSE:
This 2 day course is recognised by all NGB's and can be used as the first aid prerequisit for awards like the Trail Cycle Leader assessment or UKCC/BCU Level 3 coach etc.

THE AIM OF THE COURSE:
To provide 2 days of First Aid training that can be used in the workplace, at home or in the outdoors.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:
No food is included in the course

COURSE INFORMATION:
The course is assessed via practical assessment and no final written exam is undertaken. This course runs for 2 days and covers basic emergency situations for remote environments. The course syllabus includes the role of the outdoor first aider; incident management; CPR; choking; wounds and bleeding; seizures; shock; injuries to bones; muscles; joints; chest injuries; thermal injuries; eye injuries; poisoning; major illnesses; spinal and head injuries;along with evacuation procedures.
This course satisfies the criteria for First Aid training for all BCU coaching levels, all Mountain Training Awards and British Cycling MTB Coaching Awards.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING?
This course is practical in nature and you will require warm, dry clothing along with suitable footwear.

WHERE WILL I STAY? 
You can stay in our centre accommodation.

FOOD:
No food provided

COST: £135 per person.  This fee includes certification fees, course first aid manual, all first aid equipment required on the course and 1 night's accommodation.
