WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE COURSE:

This is the old Canoe Safety Test Assessment day. It is now called the foundation safety and rescue course or the FSRT. You will be assessed on your safety awareness and paddling skills. You will need to have completed some training prior to this assessment you will also need to hold the 2 star award and be over 14 yrs old..

The day starts at 9.30am

THE AIM OF THE COURSE: To assess the safety knowledge of the paddler.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED: Food.
AFTER THE COURSE: It is hoped that at the end of the weekend you will hold the Canoe Safety Test Award which is a pre requisite for the coaching awards.
EXTRAS: You can use any of the centre equipment including kayaks and paddles.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING: You can bring with you any canoeing equipment you may have and your logbook if you have one.
WHERE WILL I STAY: You can stay in the centre - all bedding is provided
FOOD: No meals are provided as part of the course but there is a self-catering kitchen in the centre.
COST: The cost of the course is £40
