NEW BCU 2 STAR TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE COURSE:

2 star Training; For those who have basic Canoe and Kayak experience.

2 Star assessment; For those who have all the pre-requisites in place and are ready to demonstriaght they have paddle skills in both Canoe and Kayak.

THE AIM OF THE COURSE:

Training; This is an improvement award that helps paddlers develope fundemental paddlesport skills on flat water. The emphasis is on gaining a breadth of experience, creating the desired movement of the boat and developing an understanding into how the paddle, boat and water interact.

EXTRAS: You can use any of the centre equipment including kayaks, Canoes and paddles.
WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING: You can bring with you any canoeing equipment you may have and your logbook if you have one.
WHERE WILL I STAY: Your accomodation at the centre is included in the cost; or you are welcome to stay nearby.
FOOD: No meals are provided as part of the course but there is a self-catering kitchen in the centre.
COST:

The cost of the 2 day training course is £75.                           The cost of the assessment is £50.
