| WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE COURSE: |
Anyone who has attended pool sessions or has done a little bit of paddling. |
| THE AIM OF THE COURSE: |
This is a basic assessment of ability; it is an encouragement award, which looks at encouraging safe practice, equipment and fun. The test is done in both Kayak and canoes. |
| WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED: |
Food. |
| AFTER THE COURSE: |
It is hoped that at the end of the day you will be a better paddler and have gained the new BCU 1 star award. |
| EXTRAS: |
You can use any of the centre equipment including kayaks, Canoes and paddles. |
| WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING: |
You can bring with you any canoeing equipment you may have and your logbook if you have one. |
| WHERE WILL I STAY: |
This is only a one-day course put if you are travelling a long distance then you can stay in the centre - all bedding is provided. |
| FOOD: |
No meals are provided as part of the course but there is a self-catering kitchen in the centre. |
| COST: |
The cost of the course is £25. |
