During the course of the assessment day, you will be required to lead a section of the ride, making leadership and navigation decisions as appropriate. During your leg you will be required to teach a skill to the rest of the group, using the natural resources around you. You are also required to give a five minute talk on a relevant subject. Weather permitting this talk will take place whilst on the ride, so no PowerPoint please!! You may choose your own topic regarding the talk, providing that it is within the syllabus of the TCL award. Please read the assessment outcomes section of the SMBLA manual (p16-18) to ensure you are aware of the criteria you will be assessed against.
