Anyone who has already completed the BCU 4 star training, Please note that the new BCU 4 star award is a requirement for attending a training course for the qualification of Level 3 coach. The course starts at 9.30am on both days.
THE AIM OF THE COURSE:
The test is designed to indicate that the candidate has sufficient proficiency to undertake a journey as a member of a group being led and including, leadership and group managment.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:
Food
AFTER THE COURSE:
It is hoped that at the end of the weekend you will be a better paddler and have gained the new BCU 4 star award.
EXTRAS:
You can use any of the centre equipment including kayaks and paddles.
WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING:
As well as the usual paddling equipment you will be expected to bring with you a first aid kit, repair kit, throw bag, spare clothing, emergency equipment, packed lunch, sling, carabiner, knife, air bags, dry bags, a flask of hot drink and a simple repair kit (Tape, multi tool etc).
WHERE WILL I STAY:
You can stay in the centre - all bedding is provided.
FOOD:
No meals are provided as part of the course but there is a self-catering kitchen in the centre.
COST:
The cost of the course is £95 including accommodation.
