BCU 3 STAR ASSESSMENT
(OPEN BOAT)

COURSE DATES: Sunday 4th March 2012 
Sunday 22nd April 2012
Sunday 1st July 2012
Sunday 14th October 2012
WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE COURSE: Anyone who has already completed the BCU 2 star award. Please note that the new BCU 3 star award is a requirement for attending a course for the qualification of Level 2 coach.
THE AIM OF THE COURSE: Successful performance at this level indicates that candidates can consider themselves as intermediate paddlers rather than beginners. The new BCU 3 star is run on grade 1 and 2 rivers.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED: Food.
AFTER THE COURSE: It is hoped that after the course you will be a better paddler and have gained the new BCU 3 star award.
EXTRAS: You can use any of the centre equipment including open boats and paddles.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING: You can bring with you any canoeing equipment you may have and your logbook if you have one.
WHERE WILL I STAY: You can stay in the centre - all bedding is provided
FOOD: No meals are provided as part of the course but there is a self-catering kitchen in the centre.
COST: The cost of the course is £75 including accommodation.
