This is the latest news letter for Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Club and Centre.

Outdoor Kit
There is now a shop opposite the centre in Llandysul run by Alix so if you are
looking for some kayaking or outdoor kit then please call 01559363128 or email

Membership
Membership runs from January to January so it is now half price! please pick up
a form from the centre or shop or use the ones sent out.
Committee Meetings
Are held in the canoe centre if you would like to be on the committee please let
us know the AGM for the club and centre is on August 10th 2009
WCA & BCU Courses
Llandysul paddlers canoe centre runs a large amount of B.C.U coach and paddler
development courses, the head of coaching at the centre is Matt Blue so please
contact Matt if you would like additional information on any courses, the centre
number is 01559363209. Further information is available from our website
www.llandysul-paddlers.org.uk. Some club members will be eligible for discounts
on courses.
WCA Community Coaches
West Wales has 2 Community coaches who are based at the centre in Llandysul they
are Nick Bates whose role is to develop women and girls paddling in the area and
Mike Maybury. Mike’s remit is to mentor coaches in West Wales and support local
clubs. Both Nick and Mike will be at hand to assist on most of the training days
if you would like to contact Nick about any of the training sessions then please

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
Pool Lessons
Canoeing lessons in Llandysul pool are held every Monday from 7pm until 8pm for
everyone. For further info and costs please contact the pool on 01559362548.
There is also a pool session in Aberaeron pool every Wednesday for costs and
times please contact the pool on 01545570871.
Saturday club day
This is a casual club day where paddlers can get together and head off for a
paddle, please meet at 10am at the centre.
Tuesday club day
Tuesday evenings 5.45pm March 31st until October 20th

Ren's Henllan Falls Race & Christmas Party
Saturday December 5th 2009. For this event meet in the canoe centre in Llandysul
at 10am we will be paddling all day at Henllan falls then having our canoe club
Christmas party in the Porth hotel from 6.30pm tickets for the party are £15

The Liffey Descent
September 3rd until 5th 2010. This trip to Ireland departs on the (Ireland Trip)
Friday we paddle all day Saturday in the Liffey canoe race with over 1000
competitors then come home on the Sunday for further info follow this link or
